LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the storming of PTV building in Islamabad on Monday.

Altaf Hussain, in a statement issued here on Monday, said that buildings like PTV are a symbol of the state and it is the responsibility of all citizens to respect it. He also said that attacking the buildings, in the name of protest, cannot be justified in anyway.

“Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri should warn their activists against storming buildings like PTV or Radio Pakistan and the institutions should be respected,” he maintained.

Altaf said the protesters at Constitution Avenue should realise that the state institution are theirs and they should not undermine the integrity of the state by damaging the buildings.

“You (protesters) should protest but stay peaceful and do not damage any institution or their buildings,” he added.—NNI
