ISLAMABAD: The federal government has so far released over Rs 72.68 billion including Rs 8.73 billion foreign aid under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various projects against total allocations of Rs 525 billion for the fiscal year 2014-15.

According to the latest data of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Rs 23.74 billion including Rs 5.3 billion foreign aid has been released for various projects of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, out of its total allocations of Rs 51.5 billion, earmarked under PSDP for financial year 2014-15.

An amount of Rs 7.54 billion including foreign aid of Rs 1.71 billion has been released for National Highway Authority out of total allocation of Rs 111.56 billion for the current fiscal year. According to the data, the Commission released Rs 1.39 billion which is totally foreign aid for WAPDA (Power) out of its total allocation of Rs. 63.6 billion whereas Rs. 7.069 billion have been provided to WAPDA (Water Sector) out of its total allocations of Rs. 43.43 billion.

The Commission also released Rs 7.48 billion for Railways Division, out of its total allocations of 39.57 billion whereas, Rs 170.26 billion has been released for National Food Security and Research Division, out of its total allocations of Rs 1071.3 million for the year.

Out of the total funds of Rs 27.014 billion allocated for the National Health Service Regulations and Coordination Division for the current year, the government released Rs 5.587 billion so far.

Funds of Rs 3.92 billion has been released for Higher Education Commission, out of its total allocation of Rs 20.07 billion for the year 2014-15 whereas out of total allocations of Rs 2.35 billion earmarked for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Rs 238.62 million has been released so far.

The Commission also released Rs 1.162 billion for Cabinet Division, Rs 4.311 million for Climate Change Division and Rs 72.6 million for Commerce Division.

In addition, Rs 347.6 million has been released for Education and Training Division, Rs 730.478 million for Finance Division, Rs 581.4 million for Interior Division and Rs 13.86 million for Narcotics Control Division.

The Commission released Rs 183.083 million for Planning and Development Division, Rs 147.171 million for Science and Technology Research Division, and Rs. 40.4 million for Textile Industry Division.

Funds of Rs. 2.122 billion out of Rs 12.13 billion have been released for AJK, Rs. 4.2 billion out of Rs 9.2 billion allocated for Gilgit Baltistan where as Rs. 3.42 billion out of Rs 19.1 billion has been released for Safron/Fata.

The government also released Rs 770.4 million for Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), out of its total allocation of Rs 5 billion for the current year. The Commission will release 20 percent of funds in first quarter (July-September), 20 percent in second quarter (October-December), 30 percent third quarter (January-March) and 30 percent in fourth quarter (April-June).
