ISLAMABAD: The return of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of North Waziristan Agency begins from Tuesday (March 31).

Talking to a private news channel, elected MNA from North Waziristan Muhammad Nazir said that the rehabilitation of TDPs of North Waziristan will complete in five phases while people belonging to Tehsil Spinwam will return in first phase.

He said that Rs 400,000 and Rs 120,000 will be provided to each family whose houses were damaged completely and partially respectively. He added that 35000 rupees will be provided to each family on account of transport fares. The dislocated people would also be provided ration sufficient for six months free of cost.

Regarding reconstruction of infrastructure, Muhammad Nazir said that houses, schools, hospitals and shops will be reconstructed completely.

He maintained that all problems faced by TDPs will be addressed.

To a question, he said that TDPs belonging to Shameri area of the agency will go to their homes and this process will be completed by tenth of next month. The TDPs of Tehsil Mir Ali will be repatriated to their native areas from 10th of next month whereas tribesmen of Sashi Khel area will return from 20th to 24th of next month, he added.—APP
