KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday registered a case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and other party leaders for “attacking PTI workers,” Aaj News reported.

During PTI leader Imran Ismail’s visit to Jinnah Ground in Azizabad, PTI and MQM workers exchanged hot words and a brawl ensued. Some MQM activists also allegedly attacked Ismail’s vehicle.

The case against MQM chief was registered on the complaint of Aziz Afridi and Arsalan of PTI at Azizabad Police Station.

Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lodged an FIR against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers for allegedly torturing MQM workers during the visit of PTI candidate in bye-election on NA-246 Imran Ismail to Jinnah Ground Azizabad.

The MQM has named PTI leaders and workers in the FIR which was registered at Azizabad police station on late Tuesday night.
