ISLAMABAD: Former President General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) on Thursday finally submitted a reply in Islamabad High Court (IHC) to identical petitions filed against November 21, 2014 order of the special court in high treason case.

Three-judge special court headed by Justice Faisal Arab, incumbent Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC), directed the federal government to implicate former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and former Federal Minister Zahid Hamid as co-accused in the high treason case.

Musharraf’s counsels Faisal Chaudhry and Syeda Afshan Adil submitted that the said order of November 21 was a lawful, legal and proper order.

The trial of Musharraf in the special court on high treason was stopped after the IHC admitted identical petitions filed by former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and former Minister Zahid Hamid for regular hearing and issued a stay order in this matter.
