Federal govt decides to file cases

KARACHI: In a major development, the federal government has decided to file cases against misappropriation of billions of rupees in the development funds of Sindh province.

According to interior ministry, the government has now decided to file cases against project directors, director generals of the concerned development authorities, concerned engineers and some consulting companies and the resident engineers of the projects. In this regard, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been directed by the government to prepare cases.

After the approval of standing committee of Senate, the federal government has decided to refer several cases of corruption and misappropriation of funds of Sindh province to the NAB for smooth and transparent investigation, says a handout.—PPI
