KARACHI: The completion of Pak-China economic corridor would further cement the bilateral ties in all sectors, said Commercial Counsellor of China Wang Zhihua while talking to a delegation of Pak-China Club here.

The delegation led by Pak-China Club Pakistan President Javed Rasheed Arain comprised Secretary General of the club Khalid Iqbal Khan, Patron Dr Suleman Otho, Chief Advisor Haung Junqiang and members of managing committee Muhammad Amin Ghaziani and Tariq Khan.

Javed Rasheed Arain welcomed the Commercial Counsellor of China Wang Zhihua on his posting to Karachi and hoped he would play a proactive role in further improving the trade relations between the two friendly countries. He said Pakistan and China enjoyed old and warm relations. He said the great project of Pak-China Economic Corridor after its completion would open new vistas of cooperation in all felids including defence, economic and cultural sectors.

He said the aim of formation of Pak-China Club was to further cement the diplomatic, trade, cultural and people to people relations between the two nations. He said people of Pakistan loved China and their Chinese brethren.

On the occasion, the delegation gave their suggestions for increasing trade volume between the two nations. They said Pakistan exported meat to China through other countries and there should be direct export of meat to China from Pakistan. They requested for generous assistance of China in the sector of heavy transport. They said there were great opportunities of trade in the sectors like power generation, textiles and medicines.

Commercial Counsellor of China Wang Zhihua assured the delegation that he would play his role in further promotion of Pakistan-China trade ties. He also assured cooperation in arranging meetings between Pakistani businessmen and visiting Chinese traders. He said he would take efforts to provide maximum facilities to the Pakistan traders and businessmen.—PR
