KARACHI: Terrorists, who were killed in an overnight armed encounter with the paramilitary force in Karachi area of Gadap, have been identified on Friday.

Terrorists including Ali Maan Shah and Habib-ur-Rehman were involved in attacks on Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps, according to security sources.

It should be mentioned here that the Rangers, moving on intelligence report, launched a raid in Gadap area where terrorists opened gunfire on them. The exchange of fire wrapped up with killing of four terrorists. The paratroopers also recovered weapons from the slain terrorists.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, the slain militants belonged to a banned outfit, and firearms and ammunition also were obtained from them.

Later, a search operation was conducted in the area to round up if some other terrorists are holed up there. Bodies of the slain militants and recovered weapons were handed into police custody.—NNI
