ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has accused Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan of extending invitations to armed members of Jihadi groups for PTI’s planned lockdown of Islamabad on November 02.

Addressing a joint press conference with Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), here on Friday, PML-N MNA Daniyal Aziz asked: “In a consultative meeting of Jihadi groups, didn’t Imran Khan request them to provide 500 armed members of every group in his dharna?”

Daniyal said the PTI Chairman contacted leaders of various militant organizations a few days ago seeking their assistance in locking down federal capital on November 02. “I demand of Khan to give a clarification on this matter.”

He further alleged that the PTI leader discreetly invested Zakat donations for Shaukat Khanum Hospital in offshore companies in Dubai.

Criticising the political party, he claimed the PTI’s affiliation with jihadist outfits was not a new thing.

On this occasion, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry termed the Chairman PTI the biggest disease for the country. He said Khan was suffering from depression over his failed politics.

However, he said, the government will ensure writ of the state and law and order situation will be maintained in the federal capital.

He said the representatives of traders, private schools, and other sections of society in Islamabad contacted him and expressed their concern over Khan’s plan to lock down the city. He deplored that the people are worried with regard to Imran Khan’s agenda of disorder, chaos, and violence.

However, he added the government will perform its duty of providing protection to life and property of citizens.
