PESHAWAR: Pakistani teachers and parents of the students of Pak-Turk International School and College on Thursday demanded review of the decision regarding the deportation of the teachers and other officials of the school.

Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC), teachers of the school, Wasim Iqbal and Ishrat said that the Turkish teachers of the school have no concern with the internal politics of the Turkey and they should not be considered as terrorists. Therefore, either they should be allowed to stay in Pakistan or honourable departure from Pakistan.

They said that the Ministry of Interior has asked about 450 Turkish nationals including 108 teachers of the Pak-Turk International School and College for leaving Pakistan. Out of them, 20 are residing in Peshawar in shape of six families. These Turkish nationals also include children and pregnant women.
