ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Friday convened a meeting with Ambassador of the United States (US), David Hale who acknowledged military’s achievements in war on terror.

The meeting took place in General Headquarters (GHQ) and discussed matters of mutual importance.

US Ambassador lauded General Sharif’s command of the military under which Pakistan Army successfully launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terror organisations and decimated hundreds of hideouts.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that General Sharif paid a visit to 10 Corps Headquarters today before his meeting with David Hale and acknowledged sacrifices of soldiers for the motherland.

The army chief is paying his farewell visits to different military installations across the country as he is set to retire this month.—NNI
