HYDERABAD: Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam in collaboration with Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) organised the debate competition on Tuesday. The theme: should human rights education be part of our curriculum.

More than 300 students participated in the event and showed keen interesting debate cotest At least 55 students contested in the event. The jury consisted of three judges including Hafeez Bozdar, Programme Officer Human Rights Commission, Pakistan Sohail Malik, Senior Producer Radio Pakistan Hyderabad and Madam Mumtaz Bano Bhatti Assistant Professor Department of Pakistan Studies.

The first position got by Najeebullah and he was awarded Rs 50,000 along with a trophy. the second position secured by Ayaz Memon and Rs 30,000 was given to along with a trophy while third position went to Ms Shireen Memon. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 20000 and a trophy.

At the end of session, the judges shared their critique in a soft manner for future improvement. Bozdar thanked university administration, students and especially Dr Mujeebuddin Memon Sahrai Vice Chancellor, SAU Tandojam and Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director University Advancement and Financial Assistance, for their cooperation and devotion to make the event a successful. Programme organizers of SAU Tandojam and a team of HRCP agreed to conduct such healthy events in future.
