FAISALABAD: On the eve of Christmas, DCO Salman Ghani and Member National Assembly Haji Akram Ansari visited Presbyterian Church outside Rail Bazaar for participating in the happiness of Christian community and to express solidarity with them.

The DCO and MNA greeted the Christmas to Christian community and also participated in the Christmas cake cutting ceremony. Expressing his views the DCO said that the civilized nation celebrated their Joys and other festivals jointly, which strengthened the national relationship and sentiments of patriotism.

He said that Christian community was playing their role equally for the development and progress of Pakistan and we would maintain peace and brotherhood as a united nation. He informed that the district administration had made strict security arrangements on the Christmas day and for the recreation of Christian community under which 50% discount had been provided on the tickets of Fun land, Fun Dunya and Sinbad.

DCO informed that District Administration has arranged a singing competition among Male and Female singers of Christian and top position holder of this event would be awarded prize of 100000 while 50 thousand would be given to runner up and 25 thousands each would awarded to the 3rd and 4th position holders.

MNA Haji Akram Ansari on the occasion said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the govt will continue to uphold the rights of minorities.

He said Christian always reflected the message of love, peace, tolerance and compassion for humanity.

Assistant Commissioner (City) Bilawal Abro, Admin Officer Riaz Hussain Anjum, Ex MPAs Juail Amir Sahutra, Kamal Chughtai Advocate, Pastor Emric Joseph and others from Christian community were also present on the occasion.
