PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2016/17 season had reached 10.6 million tonnes by April 18, down 6 percent from 11.3 million at the same stage last season, official data showed on Thursday.

In soymeal, cumulative EU imports so far in 2016/17 were 14.2 million tonnes, down 13 percent from 16.4 million a

year ago.

Palm oil imports stood at 4.5 million tonnes, down 17 percent from 5.5 million tonnes a year earlier, the data showed.—Reuters
