ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) scientists played their major role to making country self-sufficient in food security and bumper crops production is this year, this is due to farmers and agriculture experts struggle.

This was stated by Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research at occasion of oath taking ceremony of PARC scientists association (PARSA) at NARC. He said the country is not only self-sufficient in food but also is in position to export food commodities.

“We have to work more efficiently because there are lots of challenges in future regarding food security. Our poor farmers are looking towards us that how agriculture scientists help them to boost production and making country self-sufficient,” he added.

Dr. Yusuf Zafar, Chairman PARC expressed the hope that scientists will work vigorously for betterment of organization and development of agriculture sector.

Dr. Taj Naseeb Khan, newly elected President, PARSA said at the occasion that Federal Minister did a lot for agricultural development and betterment of PARC. He said that PARSA will completely collaborate with Chairman PARC for betterment of organization.

Azizullah Shah, newly elected General Secretary, PARSA assured that hard work will be continued for betterment of agricultural production and making country self-sufficient in food.—PR
