LAHORE: Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. Muzammil Hussain (retd) called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here on Tuesday and discussed development on energy projects including ongoing schemes relating to hydel power.

On the occasion, Shahbaz said that early completion of energy projects is his first priority and work on energy generation projects is continued in full speed in Punjab and other parts of the country.

During the last four years, tremendous work has been done to enhance the production of the electricity, he added. He maintained that due to sincere efforts of the government, electricity production has been enhanced and energy has been produced from alternate means along with the traditional energy production sources and hoped that completion of hydel power projects will help to provide cheap electricity to the people.
