PESHAWAR: Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders Wednesday announced to stage protest rally against the tirade of US President Donald Trump and said that they fully support the stance of government in this regard.

Addressing a Press Conference, President Peshawar Chamber of Traders, Shakil Ahmad said that from now on American products would be boycotted and not a single US manufactured item would be sold in the shops of Peshawar.

He said that traders of Peshawar are the worst victims of militancy after the sacrifices made by security forces in the ongoing battle against terrorism and added that Pakistanis are peaceful yet they are ready to defend their country against any aggression.

As many as 70,000 people including personnel of the Army and civilians have been martyred in this war while nation incurred a loss of 120 billion dollars, he said.

He said that Afghan border management program should be completed to prevent militants from entering Pakistan. He also assured support of the trader community to security forces and government.

He said that billboards and banner would be displayed in the city to create awareness among the people while protest rallies would be carried out in the whole province.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders of trader community, Shoukat Ali Khan, Khalid Ayub, Malik Mehar Elahi and Ehtesham Haleem also announced their support to government and said that our sacrifices in war against militancy should be realized. They said that accomplishments of Pakistan Army against militancy reflect commitment of the nation against insurgency.
