KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) claimed to have arrested retired Deputy Registrar, who was allegedly involved in creating illegal plots at land reserved for conduit line passing through Quetta Town Cooperative society scheme-33.

According to official details, NAB Karachi has arrested an accused Muhammad Akhtar Pathan, the then Deputy Registrar (retd) Cooperation Department, Government of Sindh. He was wanted in an under trial reference after his bail was recalled by the principal seat of High Court of Sindh as well as Supreme Court.

The accused is charged for creating illegal plots at land reserved for conduit line and subsequently illegally allotted those plots on conduit line passing through Quetta Town Cooperative society scheme-33 and embezzled Rs 4.86 million. He has produced before Accountability for remand. He was the only accused in Reference.
