ISLAMABAD: Announcing to end the nine days long sit-in here on Jinnah Avenue, Chairman Tehreek-i-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (PBUH), Dr Ashraf Asif Jalali Friday claimed that the government has accepted their six demands.

Addressing a press conference, Jalali said that during the nine-day sit-in, their representatives held eight rounds of talks with the representatives of the federal government and the government was forced to accept their six demands, he said.

He said, “We are announcing end of our sit-in.” he added, “We have given 20 days to the government for implementation of our demands.”

He warned if their demands were not met in the stipulated time, they would stage a million march.

Jalali said Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry had signed written agreements containing their demands.

He further said the government had accepted that accused Asia Bibi was present in the country and promised that the government would not allow her to go abroad.

According to the agreement, Jalali said the government would ascertain the persons who made changes in the Finality of Prophethood declaration in election forms in the Parliament within 20 days. “If responsible people are not identified within 20 days, another rally will again come to Islamabad,” he declared.

He said the federal government also promised that it would play its role in lifting ban on use of loudspeakers in mosques in Punjab.

About the demands of removal of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah from his position, he said Sanaullah would be produced before the religious scholars where he would give explanation regarding his position about his video clips.

It is noteworthy here that Karwan-e-Khatam-e-Nabuwat, led by Dr Asif Ashraf Jalali, started from Lahore and had reached Islamabad on October 26.
