LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan has said that feasibility report of shifting of Punjab Police Central Warehouse (Maalkhana) from Qurban Lines to Police Training College, Sihala, should be finalised after analyzing all perspectives as early as possible so that immediate work should be started after sanction of this project.

While addressing a consultative session of the top brass of Punjab police at the Central Police Office (CPO) on Friday, the IGP said that the plantation campaign of trees should be made fast and shadowy trees and fruit bearing plants should be planted in the Police Training College, Sihala, with respect to climate change.

The session was also attended by AIG Training Punjab Tariq Masood Yaseen, DIG Training Waqar Ahmad Abbasi, DIG Telecommunication Shahid Javed, AIG Development Ahsan Younis and PS to IGP Sajjad Hassan Manj besides other senior officers.

Moreover, he said an international standard approach should be adopted in all colleges and schools of the police training centers in Punjab for best training and guidance of constables and sub-inspectors and no disgraceful behaviour from instructors with trainee recruits shall be tolerated.

While briefing the session, AIG Tariq Masood said a syllabus for the Punjab police personnel has been prepared with modern parameters considering the value of modern world. In the second phase, he said the training process for sub inspectors with respect to modern parameters have been made fast.

Further, the IG Police said that refresher courses for instructors of trainee officials for character building and best training should be fastened so that officials of the police service may perform their duties diligently.
