LAHORE: Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement, Lahore has surpassed revenue target for the month of January, 2018 by collecting Rs6.356 billion against target of Rs5.138 billion and thus has collected Rs1.218 billion more than the target.

Last year Rs4.654 billion were collected during the month of January. Compared to last year, the Collectorate posted growth of 45% and 37% respectively in collection of Customs Duty and overall taxes. Jamil Nasir Collector while chairing a revenue performance review meeting expressed his confidence in the trade facilitation measures adopted by the Collectorate and appreciated his team members for putting in their best for the satisfaction of the stakeholders and meeting revenue targets.

He further said that in coming few weeks, mobile Apps for onsite examination of goods and bonded warehouses will be introduced for effective monitoring of these customs facilities and working of Customs staff.
