KARACHI: Karachi-based Swiss Consul General, Philippe Crevoisier, has said that a fact-finding mission will visit Pakistan very soon to explore business opportunities.

“Swiss investors are not concerned on law and order situation in Pakistan but business potential is their prime focus,” he said, speaking at a meeting of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).

He said that economic conditions of Pakistan are improving and positive change is quite visible. He said that Switzerland is focusing on developed economies for investment and business ventures.

“Close business ties with BRICS and neighboring countries is on the priority but now the country is exploring more and more venues for investment,” he said.

The Swiss diplomat said many Swiss companies are interested to do business in Pakistan and to explore opportunities here; a fact-finding mission would soon visit Pakistan.

Head of KATI’s standing committee on diplomatic affairs, Masood Naqi, briefed Swiss Consul General about Korangi Industrial Area and different sectors located in the area. He said that although trade relations between the Pakistan Switzerland are more favorable for the Switzerland, it is a positive sign that these relations were expanding year by year.

He said that there is need to explore mutual business opportunities for investors and business people of both countries.

KATI’s vice president Junaid Naqi, former presidents Rashid Siddiqui, Syed Farukh Mazhar, Akbar Farooqui, Farhan-ur-Rehman, Jordan James and others were also present.
