ISLAMABAD: Former President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Lahore Awais Younis filed an application before Supreme Court (SC) on Friday for early hearing of a criminal plea against Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique over the latter’s alleged anti-judiciary tirade.

Senior lawyer Hamid Khan filed the application for early hearing in the Supreme Court with a plea to club the matter with suo motu over contempt proceedings initiated against State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry.

The apex court has fixed the matter for hearing on February 06 on account of derogatory and contemptuous speeches/statements of Talal Chaudhry at public gatherings in respect of apex court telecast by various television channels.
