LAHORE: After successful launches in Abbottabad and Sialkot, the British Council will now also be offering IELTS in Sargodha.

At the launch event on 3 March 2018, Rosemary Hilhorst, Country Director, British Council Pakistan said: “We are delighted to bring IELTS to the people of Sargodha and surrounding areas. This will make access to the test easier for students and professionals and enable them to capitalize on study and work opportunities abroad.”

“We hope to continue to expand our examinations offer in Pakistan and increase access to the best of UK qualifications. I wish the best of luck to all the students taking the tests today,” she added.

This launch will bring the British Council closer to its customers and potential IELTS candidates in Sargodha by providing them location based services and easy access to information. This is another step forward as the British Council works towards ensuring customer satisfaction for its IELTS candidates.

As the British Council continues to meet the growing demand for IELTS, it has increased the number of test cities to 12 across Pakistan. The list of test cities now include Islamabad, Abbottabad, Gujrat, Peshawar, Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Sargodha.

IELTS is one of the world’s most widely used English Language Tests, required to study, work and live in countries like the UK, Australia, Canada, the US and beyond. Over 3 million people took IELTS last year around the world. IELTS is recognized by more than 10,000 organisations globally, from universities and colleges to governments.—PR
