FAISALABAD: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul has said that academic and agricultural ties between the both countries will be further strengthened to get benefit from each other experiences.

He was talking to University of Agriculture Faisalabad Deans and Directors meeting chaired by UAF vice chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, here on Tuesday.

The Ambassador mentioned that both countries were enjoying excellent relations based on brotherhood. He added that many Pakistani students were studying in Turkey. He said we will widen the scope of mutual cooperation especially in the agriculture and academia. He said the mutual cooperation helps us learning from each other experiences. Ambassador lauded the steps being taken on the part of the UAF for the promotion of agriculture sector and to impart quality education and research works.

Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said Pakistan and Turkey are enjoying the excellent ties. He said the enhanced collaborations would help us to make the development and prosperity. He said the UAF was running the research projects with his country for the poverty alleviation. He added that the UAF had developed as many as 1655 PhDs so far who are working day and night. He added that the UAF was only institution in the country which is ranked among top 100 universities of the globe. He said that the university was offering courses in the 165 disciplines and had produced the manpower more than 75,000 graduates so far. He said the UAF was running research projects worth Rs 2.5 billion with the special focus on the issues of agriculture and rural development. He told that university had developed relations across the globe.
