LAHORE: An awards ceremony was hosted here to recognize the efforts of top performing partner travel agents of Turkish Airlines.

The ceremony was attended by Hamid Eldelekioglu, General Manager of Turkish Airlines for Lahore region, and more than 100 partner travel agents of Turkish Airline, disclosed an airline’s spokesman here on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned that established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 326 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 302 worldwide destinations as 253 international and 49 domestic in 121 countries. The Star Alliance network was established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer worldwide reach, recognition and seamless service to the international traveler. Its acceptance by the market has been recognized by numerous awards including the Air Transport World Market Leadership Award and Best Airline Alliance by both Business Traveler Magazine and Skytrax.

Overall, the Star Alliance network currently offers more than 18,450 daily flights to 1,300 airports in 190 countries. Further connecting flights are offered by Star Alliance Connecting Partner, Juneyao Airlines.
