PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ameer, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has been appointed as provincial senior vice president of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).

In this regard, a delegation of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal led by its provincial president Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan met Mushtaq Ahmad Khan at Al-Markaz-e-Islami during meeting it was requested to JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ameer, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan for inclusion in MMA cabinet.

After positive response by Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, a consultation meeting was held at Al-Markaz-e-Islami, wherein consensus was developed about appointment of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan as provincial senior vice president of MMA.

During the meeting, the responsibility of MMA provincial general secretary was given to JI vice president, Dr Mohammad Iqbal Khalil, while Abdul Wasay has been appointed as provincial secretary information of the MMA.

Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan in a press statement issued here on Tuesday extended special thank to leadership of MMA and assured that he will start his duties immediately. He claimed that MMA will form its government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and would resolve the masses problems.

He said MMA government will never compromise with the federal government on rights of KP. He said MMA has been facing numerous challenges at internal and external fronts for which he stressed the religious parties would need to show unity to tackle with all those challenges.

Mushtaq Ahmad said that the western powers were using every tactic to create rift among the Muslim ummah and hatched conspiracies to confront with each others. He said MMA has been reactivated for enforcement of true Islamic system in the country and vowed that they will implement sharia system with letter and spirit, if elected to power the country.

JI leader said the MMA will devise a foreign policy, which could resolve the issue of Muslim ummah and will develop positive image of Pakistan in rest of the world. He said the independence of Kashmir and Palestine would be core point of the MMA foreign policy.

Mushtaq Ahmad said they will build a consensus about utilization of water reservoirs in the country. He said MMA will protect the right of minorities. He said the general elections 2018 is turning point for the Pakistan and said MMA will get success in the elections.
