RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from NA-129 have joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Thirty-five N-Leaguers met PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan and announced their joining, said a PTI’s spokesperson here on Friday. Among the PML-N leaders who joined the PTI included Jabbar Jutt, Dr Raja Imran, Shah Muhammad Jutt, Raja Irfan and Muhammad Shazad.

On the occasion, Aleem said that the era of the corrupt N-League government has ended and a new era of ‘change’ will start after the nation elects the PTI on July 25. He criticized the previous government for burdening the country with US $36 billion of loans and thus weakening the economy of Pakistan. “This year is a year of change and prosperity, and we will form a government in the centre as well as in provinces. By next year this time the people will see a positive change in the country,” he added.
