RECORDER REPORT

PESHAWAR: The members of the Board of Directors (BoD), comprising the supporters and sympathizers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), are going to confirm the recruitment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management (KP EZDMC).

The present Managing Director of the company mandated with the development of the infrastructure in the industrial zones of the province was recruited in January 2018 by the previous PTI-led government.

Applicants for the lucrative post of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was carried out by a specially constituted panel comprising the selected members of the Human Resource Committee of the company in a highly controversial manner.

All rules and procedure were amended and the interview panel was given 60 marks, which was earlier having 40 percent marks to level ground for the hiring of the favourite of then Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

During vote on the selection of new CEO, the BoD was totally divided as majority of the members particularly private sector representatives were supporting another candidate, who was equipped with rich experience and renowned name in the industrial development of the province.

The recruitment panel was headed by a blue-eyed retired bureaucrat, Sahibzada Saeed, who is still heading the Strategic Support Unit (SSU) looking after all important development schemes initiated by the previous government.
