LAHORE: Spokesman of Agriculture Department, Punjab, has said that Agriculture department has ensured strict price control monitoring mechanism in market committees and price hike is not allowed / possible.

These prices of markets are even monitored on daily basis and available for public on internet (www.aims.pk).

All administrators (Assistant Commissioners) of market committees are performing their duties to ensure price control in market committees.

According to data issued by Agriculture department, price of different daily used commodities either lessen or there found no change from previous week - Potato New lessen from Rs 37 to 27, Potato Stored price from Rs 14 to 12, Ginger from Rs 157 to Rs 151 and prices of Tomato, Garlic China, Garlic (Desi), Lemon Desi, Gram White, Gram Black, Gram pulse, Mash Pulse, Masoor Whole, Masoor Pulse, Moong Whole and Masoor Pulse remain same or unchanged.

Spokesman further said that price control mechanism is continuously monitoring by Agriculture department and no one is allowed for price hike in Agriculture Market Committees.—PR
