RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The Punjab Professors and Lecturers’ Association (PPLA) on Sunday praised the Punjab Higher Education Department’s policies.

According to a press release, PPLA president Hafiz Abdul Khaliq Nadeem said that the current policies of the department had helped resolve problems faced by HED employees.

“After many years, an effective and sympathetic bureaucratic team is at the helm of affairs in HED. This has given immense relief to HED employees. Establishment and General Additional Secretary Usman Khalid Khan are actively working to resolve the problems faced by the employees. During the recent transfers of HED employees, he made all efforts to uphold merit,” the PPLA president said. He said that Usman Khalid had facilitated the transfer of many employees who had been serving far from their homes for a long time. “Some elements, which could not get their favorites transferred to their desired stations, have now started a vilification campaign against Usman Khalid. However, PPLA vehemently condemns such tactics to defame an honest officer,” he said.
