Opposition’s flawed approach

It is quite interesting to note that Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto has announced that the opposition would table a motion to do away with the secret balloting while expressing the hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan would also support it.

According to him, the Senate of Pakistan has witnessed a blatant rigging on the occasion of no-confidence motion against its chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

Embittered by Opposition’s failure to oust Sanjrani from the slot of Chairman Senate, Bilawal has little or no realization of the fact that even the removal of secret ballot provision would not ensure that the Senate or any legislature’s would be insulted against ‘floor management’. It would be better for the entire opposition to identify the ‘black sheep’ for whatever disciplinary action it deems necessary.
