KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Monday condemned the atrocities of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir and slammed stripping the Kashmir of its special status in Indian Constitution.

MQM-P convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who is also a Federal Minister for Information Technology, while addressing a rally to show solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir described Kashmir as a disputed territory and said that the latest measures of India has created a controversy.

He warned that freedom movement would take the roots in India if Kashmir dispute was not resolved. MQM Convener also termed India a “fascist state” and said that Indian people elected a “religious fanatic” as their prime minister.

He noted that rattles of guns would echo in occupied territory if the doors of negotiations with the Kashmiri leadership were closed down. He demanded that right of self determination should be given to people of Kashmir as this is their fundamental right.

Faisal Sabzwari, member of Coordination Committee MQM-P addressing the participants of the rally said his party came out to show solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and said that biased Home Minister of India has exposed the face of India.

He called upon the nation to come out to show solidarity with the people of occupied territory and said that for brighter future of Kashmiris, Pakistanis would have to raise their voice.

MNA Kishwar Zehra said that BJP Government in India has unleashed the reign of terror on people of Indian occupied Kashmir and said that conspiracy has been hatched to convert Kashmiris into a minority in their own area.

Rauf Siddiqui said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri citizens in Indian occupied Kashmir are unforgettable and urged all the Muslim countries to sever diplomatic ties with India after the latest developments of depriving Kashmir of its special status.

He said that India is also violating the fundamental human rights of Kashmiris by imposing curfew in the region.
