KARACHI: Pakistan holds a significantly higher ranking on the list of edible oil importing countries (third largest importer of the world), which it shall retain in decades to come due to persistent demographic, agronomic and geographic compulsions. Indeed the singing of Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs) with Malaysia and Indonesia were inked to boost our exports in reciprocation of our edible oil import potential.

In this back-drop, under the flagship of Pakistan Edible Oil Conference (PEOC), the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), and Pakistan Edible Oil Refiners Association (PEORA) in support with Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and Indonesian Plantation and Refiners Association namely GAPKI is organizing its consecutive 5th Pakistan Edible Oil Conference (PEOC 2020) in Karachi on 11th January 2020.

Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to Prime Minister for Commerce, Textile, Industry & Production and Investment will be the Chief Guest and will inaugurate PEOC 2020.

High profile delegations of Malaysian and Indonesian Companies / Associations will also be participating in the PEOC 2020. Foreign participants representing world leading multi-nationals and other associated organizations shall attend the event.—PR
