KARACHI: The city on Wednesday received a short spell of light rain, turning the atmosphere pleasant, as the Met Office forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of drizzle in the next 24 hours.

The city’s outskirts also received a light spell of hailing as well. Surjani received 2 mm of rainfall and Nazimabad and Masroor 1 mm, each in the last 24 hours.

Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with 32 degrees Celsius of temperature and 70 percent of humidity on Thursday, it added.

In the next 24 hours: Partly cloudy weather is expected in the most parts of the country with rain wind-thunderstorm in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, east Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

In the past 24 hour: Rain wind-thunderstorm occurred in districts of Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Karachi.

“A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country,” it said.
