KARACHI: Exchange rate of Pakistan rupee remained unchanged against major currencies in open market whereas it depreciated against USD in Interbank market on Friday.

INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: Pakistan Rupee depreciated by 60 paisas against USD in Interbank market for buying while for selling it depreciated by 1 rupee closing at 160.20 and 161 respectively.

OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, value of Pakistan Rupee remained unchanged as compared to Thursday’s rates against USD, Euro, Dirham and SAR. Against USD, PKR closed at 158.50 and 159.50 for buying and selling respectively.

Against Euro, PKR closed at 170 and 172 for buying and selling respectively, while against UAE Dirham, PKR closed at 42 and 42.40 for buying and selling respectively, and against Saudi Riyal, PKR closed at 40 and 40.5 for buying and selling respectively.

ISLAMABAD

The dollar opened at Rs 161 (buying) and Rs 161.10 (selling) at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Friday. It closed at Rs161 (buying) and Rs 161.10 (selling) by the end of session.

The buying and selling rates of one tola gold were Rs 101,700 and Rs 101,500 (buying) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
