LAHORE: Leader of Jamiat Ahle-Hadith Senator Prof Sajid Mir called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Monday and exchanged views over the country’s political and economic situation apart from matters of mutual interest.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan is facing the challenge of extremism and terrorism, however, Muslim League-N government is determined to overcome all the problems being faced by the country.

He said that the whole nation will have to unite on one platform to steer the country out of lawlessness. Shahbaz Sharif said that the cowardly act of terrorism at Karachi Airport is highly deplorable but the security officials have thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists by laying down their lives.

He said that sacrifices of security personnel will not go waste. He said that the whole nation is paying tributes to security forces over their courage and bravery.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Ulema should promote the sentiments of religious tolerance, brotherhood and amity for creating a peaceful society.

Member National Assembly Hafiz Abdul Karim and Amin Suleman Mangla of Bait-ul-Mal Punjab were also present on the occasion.
