PESHAWAR: PML-N members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly including parliamentary leader, Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota and Arbab Akbar Hayat are hopeful of PML-N’s win in the by-election of NA-19, Haripur.

They are of the view that the people-friendly and popular politics adopted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has further increased the popularity of the federal government, saying the party candidate will on the basis of its performance.

The legislators of the PML-N said that the people-friendly policies of the Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has put the country on the track of economic development and for first time in the history Pakistan is attracting huge foreign investment in different sectors.

They said that cut in the prices of petroleum products and electricity has given relief to the common man while the arresting of the inflation rate has controlled the galloping price-hike. Similarly, he said that cut in the interest rate on commercial loans has restored the confidence of the investors.

Talking to this scribe, the Parliamentary Leader of PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota said that the agreements signed by the federal government with the Peoples Republic of China in energy and trade will help usher revolution of industrial development. He said that the performance of the PML-N led governments in centre and Punjab are far better than other provinces of the country.

He alleged that the provincial government had ignored Hazara division in development schemes while federal government has given Rs.33 billion Motorway Project to the region.

Similarly, Arbab Akbar Hayat said that in the first two years of rule, the provincial government had miserably failed in accomplishment of its electoral agenda, fulfilment of the commitment of change and making KP a model province of good governance in the country. He said that instead of elected public representatives, the provincial government is running its affairs through bureaucracy, which is directly affecting the people of the province and development process has come to standstill position. In view of these failures, he termed the PTI led KP government is proving to be the worst flop government in the history of the province.

He said that even the performance of the previous ANP-PPP coalition government in the province was many fold better than the present PTI government. He said that the revenue of the local government and excise & taxation departments has registered decline in the province.
