ISLAMABAD: Religious scholars from different schools of thought have urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to summon a summit immediately to review the defence of Makkah, following a missile attack by Houthi rebel tribes of Yemen.

Addressing the ‘National Defence Conference for Haramain Al Sharifain’ here Friday, they also called upon the United Nations (UN) to probe the elements accomplice in missile attack on Makkah and those supported Houthi rebel tribes in supplying or developing such a missile.

They said that the missile attack bid by Houthi rebel tribes is intolerable and Muslim Ummah will not forgive such elements which dared attack the holy city of Muslims.

The people and the government of Pakistan are all set to lay down any sacrifice for the defence and security of Haramain Al Sharifain. The participants made it clear that Muslim Ummah will foil all the conspiracies of anti-Muslim elements.

The participants of the conference also urged upon the Muslim leadership to summon world conference to contain conspiracies made against Haramain Al Sharifain and resolve prevailing challenges in the Islamic World.
