HYDERABAD: The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat has announced to establish an endowment fund worth Rs2 billion with a view to financially support the needy students in order to help them continue their higher studies on the campus.

This he announced while addressing the concluding ceremony of final year students thesis show kicked off a week ago at the Institute of Art & Design, University of Sindh Jamshoro.

Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Munawar Ali Mahesar, Chairman Kotri Association of trade & Industry Malik Iqbal Ghani, Vice Chairman Khalil Ahmed Baloch, Prof. Naimatullah Khilji, Prof. Saeed Mangi, Dr. Azhar Ali Shah, Dr. Ayaz Keerio, Bedil Masroor, faculty and a large number of students participated in the ceremony.

Addressing the participants, the vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat said that there was no dearth of talent at Sindh University and all the teachers, employees and students were creative, innovative and artistic but he said Allah Almighty had transmitted His divine attributes to human beings especially to those individuals who belong to Art & Design.

He said he was lucky enough to be like the parent to 32000 male & female students who were studying at Sindh University adding that his students were ready to believe in his leadership and were also willing to lend him unconditional support.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Munawar Ali Mahesar said that art was the most beautiful of all forms of human expressions adding that he was extremely glad to behold the firsthand astounding creative flair of the students of art & design who had produced marvelous and extra ordinary art in the exhibition.

On the occasion, the Chairman Kotri Association of Trade & Industry Malik Iqbal Ghani lauded the efforts of vice chancellor regarding establishment of endowment fund and donated Rs2 lac by handing over commensurate cheque to Dr. Burfat.
