RECORDER REPORT

PESHAWAR: A senior government contractor, Nasir Khan, of Chitral has accused Jamiat Ulema Islam Dir leader, Zar Naseeb Khan, of issuing him fake cheques of Rs30 million and demanded of JUI-F top leadership to help resolve the issue.

Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday the contractor said that Zar Naseeb Khan is brother of JUI-F President Gul Naseeb Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (chapter) who had managed to get a baseless case registered against him at police station Chakdara. The case he said was under trial at Dar-ul-Qaza Swat.

“The JUI-F leader had used my contractor license to carry out a number of developmental schemes in NA 33 and NA 29 through some other people who also faked my signature on various documents and created problems for me,” the contractor said.

Senior contractor, Nasir, said that a fake case of Rs 0.8 million had been registered against him just to avenge him and force him to withdraw his FIR of Rs30 million against the JUI-F leader. “I had registered a case against the JUI leader in Chitral and a court had sent Zar Naseeb Khan to prison for issuing fake cheques,” he said.

The contractor said that he had given his license to Zar Naseeb Khan but he had used it illegally through some other people including Israr-ud-din Khan and Ajmal Khan which had also prompted National Accountability Bureau to call him for inquiry into the matter.

“I have done nothing wrong, I had given my own license to Zar Naseeb Khan but he is unwilling to pay back dues and has resorted to torture and illegal acts,” Nasir alleged and appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the case and order probe into it.

Later, he said both Israr-ud-din and Zar Naseeb, brother of Maulana Gul Naseeb were arrested in the case.

In order to take revenge, he said Shahzad, brother of Israr-ud-din, had registered a case of fake cheques against him by using influence in Chakdara police station. He said case is under hearing in Peshawar High Court branch (Swat Darul Qaza).

He regretted that fake case was registered against him, while bogus cheques worth Rs.0.8 million also given to me. Now, he said the opponents were harassing him using various tactics. He also alleged that they were using political influence to gain police support to pressurize him to withdraw the case.

He demanded of provincial government, IGP KP, DG FIA, and DPO Timergara to take notice of injustices meted with him by JUI-F leaders and ensure his protection and his family’s.
