ISLAMABAD: Responding Javed Hashmi’s criticism against former President of Pakistan General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, All Pakistan Muslim League Secretary General Dr Muhammad Amjad here Monday said that the political career of Hashmi has gone ended and alleging misdeeds against popular leaders is only an effort to live at media forums.

“We know what he has been doing in the past and why he left Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) but we keep a mum just to respect a senior politician who is also a senior citizen as well” Dr Amjad said.

Off and on Hashmi had been levelling frivolous allegations against Chairman APML Syed Pervez Musharraf but party leadership tolerated the filthy language with patience. We have right to respond all what it has been said but we believe in moral and ethical politics and showing restraints, APML secretary general said.

If Javed Hashmi that much an advocate of democracy then why he remained a minister in the cabinet of Zia-ul-Haq. It is beyond comprehension that a man who served in the cabinet of a military dictator started opposing another uniformed President; primarily that is to regain fame and relevance in the contemporary politics, Dr Amjad said.—NNI
