FAISALABAD: A state of the art building of Old Age Home is being constructed on 3 acres of land at Narwala Road at a cost of Rs 90 million.

Minister of State for Textile Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari and Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani visited the project site and checked the construction work of the old age home. Deputy Director Social Welfare Ch Muhammad Ashraf, XEN Building-I Tahir Anjum, Social Welfare Officer M Tahir and other officers were also present on the occasion.

State Minister and Deputy Commissioner took a round of different sections of the old age home and asked the building department to ensure facilities to elderly people.

They said that government was giving top priority to care and help to elderly people therefore quality services should be provided to old and infirm people of society. They urged there must be high quality finishing work of the building and project should be completed as early as possible. They asked the concerned officer to ensure early completion of process for electricity to the building. Deputy Director Social Welfare informed that old age home has a capacity to house 50 inmates. He was sure the project would be completed soon.
