LAHORE: A MoU signed between Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Pakistan Automobile Spare parts Importers and Distributors Association (PASPIDA) here on Saturday. 

The MoU was signed by Chairman TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Shiekh and Vice Chairman PASPIDA Syed Jaffar Hussain. Members of association including Amir Latif, Abid Hameed, and Shahid Hussain were also present on occasion.

While speaking on the occasion Chairman TEVTA Irfan Qaiser shared the details of MoU that TEVTA and PASPIDA will collaborate for the education of IT and Auto sector. He said that after the CPEC there is huge demand of skilled people in the country as this demand will be increasing with the passage of time.

To meet this demand and providing skilled labour force, TEVTA has already started courses like Auto mechanic, Auto Electrician, IT and many others, he added. Chairman TEVTA further said that people from PASPIDA now can get admission in these subjects as well. 

Irfan also observed that TEVTA recently decided to work in accordance with Wales in Auto sector and he will visit the country for further cooperation. However the shadow minister of Wales Muhammad Asghar had also visited TEVTA in this regard.

He went on saying that it’s his wish to provide immediate ensured job opportunities to students of TEVTA and now PASPIDA will also play its role for this noble cause.

He said that there is a huge market of auto sector in Pakistan and similarly there is also a demand of skilled people in this field. He also told that TEVTA is already providing courses with latest syllabus, besides we are providing interest free loans so that they can start their own business. 

PASPIDAs collaboration will be a landmark in this regard as this would also helpful in increasing the salary of youth of Punjab.

Vice Chairman PASPIDA Syed Jaffar Hussain said that it will provide on job training and job opportunities to TEVTA students. The students will be able to get perfection in training through this MoU; he said adding that members of PASPIDA will also get training at TEVTAs institutes. He said that they will get certificates after completing the course.
