RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Opposition Leader Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed on Monday urged the government to summon a session of the Punjab Assembly immediately and stressed the Punjab Chief Minister to respond the allegation leveled in the Najfi report.

While taking to media, he also demanded that the treasury benches should give an explanation on the financial corruption on 56 companies. “We want to know that why an audit of these companies were not carried out,” he added.

He said after the Najfi report the people in the entire province are voicing for resignation of both Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. “To avoid questions on Najfi report and financial scandal of 56 companies, the government is deliberately delaying the session. It is acting against the democratic norms,” he added.
