PESHAWAR: Engineer Zakaullah Khan Ghandapur has taken over charge of the office of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco). On this occasion he vowed that he will utilize all his energies for the betterment of company and for the removal of public grievances, according to press statement issued here on Friday.

Dr Zakaullah Khan Ghandapur has earned Doctorate degree from Khyber PukhtunKhwa. He joined Wapda in 1982 and worked as SDO, Xen and SE in Wapda throughout the country.

He was posted as Chief Executive Tesco 4 years ago. Keeping in view his transparent career, outstanding performance, academic achievements and professional zeal, he has been posted as Chief Executive Pesco and he has started discharging his official responsibilities.

Zakaullah Khan Gandapur on the assumption of the office has shown his determination to work with full dedication and in the best interest of company and to stabilize the financial position of Pesco for which he asked for the cooperation of the company’s employees and the public also. He directed the Pesco officers and officials to work for the betterment of the company and make all-out efforts to reduce the line losses and enhance its recovery so that the company could be put on the track of success and prosperity.

He directed Pesco employees to facilitate the valuable consumers of Pesco at their doorsteps. He said 100 percent photo meter reading will be implemented gradually to remove the over billing and wrong reading complaints. He stressed the consumers to stop the illegal use of electricity, and all direct hooks must be removed. The improvement of recovery and reduction in line losses will bring completion of new developmental works throughout the province. CEO vowed to implement all the decisions for the betterment o f consumers and Pesco also.
