NAVEED BUTT

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Taj Haider has said that creation of Saraiki province is part of his party’s manifesto.

He expressed these views at a news conference held here on Wednesday. Media Coordinator PPP and Member of Central Election Cell Nazir Dhoki, Barrister Amir and Chaudhry Latif Akbar were also present on this occasion.

Haider said that the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would soon announce revolutionary manifesto of the party. He said that the PPP wants free, fair and transparent election in the country, adding that the relevant authorities will have to perform their responsibility. He said, “We want politics on the basis of issues and for the poor people instead of personal allegations against one another.”

He said that pre-poll rigging was started with delimitations, particularly in Sindh. He alleged that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) changed delimitations on ethic basis in Karachi. He claimed that the ECP is not making transfers of officers in spite of permission of the court.

He advised political leaders of all parties to refrain from issuing such statements which are pushing other party workers towards the radicalism during the election, urging the law enforcement agencies to stop this trend.
