ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar Friday took notice of alleged encroachment upon the properties of the Hindu community in Sindh.

Chief Justice fixed the matter on October 18, 2018 and issued notice to the attorney general for Pakistan, advocate general Sindh, secretary religious affairs and interfaith harmony, Islamabad, secretary human rights, Islamabad, chief secretary Sindh, secretary Minority Affairs Department, government of Sindh, and commissioner Larkana Division to appear before the court.

The notice was taken on a video of Prof Bhagwan Devi w/o Prof Baghwan Das that went viral on social media, alleging that her land and properties are being encroached upon by land mafia by force.

Bogus powers of attorney are being prepared in upper Sindh due to which the Hindus feel insecure. Many Hindus are leaving and migrating to other countries and numerous others are preparing to sell their properties and leave. She further alleged that the federal and provincial governments are reluctant to take action in this regard.
