MULTAN: Additional District Collector Manzar Javed said that 66 out of 121 villages in the district had been affected by flood so far.

Talking to APP here on Wednesday, he said below low-level flood was recorded in the river Chenab as water level at Trimmu Headworks was recorded 120,000 cusecs.

He said no house was damaged by flood so far and a survey of assessment had been completed to identify crops damaged in flood-hit areas in the first phase. He said a process to know damages of crops would be started soon to compensate flood-affected people.

He said the Rescue 1122 had rescued 400 people and shifted them to safer places so far. He said five relief camps had been set up at affected areas to provide relief to victims.—APP
