MULTAN: The business community, political and other social circles across the Southern Punjab on Monday strongly condemned the suicide attack at the Dera of Punjab Home Minister Col Shuja Khanzada (retd) in Shadi Khan Village of district Attock in which several citizens including the provincial minister were killed.

Following the tragic incident, they expressed unflinching resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country at every cost and the action against anti-state elements would continue unabated.

President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mian Iqbal Hassan expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Punjab Home Minister Col Shuja Khanzada (retd) and 22 others. He said Shuja’s death was a national tragedy and he would be remembered long for his valour and courage. He said that his sacrifice in the war against terrorism would not go waste and the operation would continue till elimination of last terrorist from the soil of the country.

Chairman of All Pakistan Bed-sheet & Upholstery Manufacturers Association (APBUMA) Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi strongly condemned the attack and said such cowardly attacks could not lower the high morale of the nation as the entire country had risen up against terrorism. Roomi described the martyrdom of provincial minister a tragedy and said the country had lost a patriotic Pakistani. He said Shuja Khanzada had served in flood-hit areas of Southern Punjab and his services rendered for the cause of flood affectees would always be remembered.
